Talk to any Quebec family right now and they'll tell you money is the number one stress in their life. That's where the government's energy should be going. Focus on what actually matters to people day to day.

I live in Quebec and the cost of living crisis here is real even if it gets less attention than in other provinces. The Legault government needs to stop treating the economy as secondary to cultural debates. People want lower food prices, more housing options, and better public services. The province has resources and the government has a strong majority — use it to actually help families instead of picking fights with Ottawa. Results matter more than rhetoric.

François Legault served as Premier of Quebec from 2018 to April 2026, leading the CAQ to majority governments in 2018 and 2022 and breaking Quebec's long-standing Liberal-PQ duopoly.
